The twinning with Lonlay L'Abbay.

Lonlay L'Abbaye is a picturesque village in the valley of the Egrenne in the department of Orne in Normandy. It is similar in size to Stogursey and has a beautiful Abbey church dedicated to the Blessed virgin Mary. The abbey was founded in 1017 and it was from this Benedictine Monastery that the Monks came to Stogursey to found its priory. This historic link of 900 years was renewed in 1986 by the official twinning of the two villages. The Stogursey Twinning Association keeps alive this friendship between the two communities who visit each other on alternate years.
